baby #3!!!!
TLP and NIMB have a baby sister <3
Hi hi!!
I’m sooo excited to announce my next romance, tentatively titled, 24 DATES!!!
I’m BEYOND excited about this one!!! Alessia and Finn have lived in my brain for so long, and I’m RELIEVED I can share more about them.
As you can see from above, 24 DATES follows Alessia, an uber successful romance novelist who is suddenly hit with writer’s block and realizes it’s because she’s never really been in love. She decides to go on two dates a month for a year hoping not only to get some inspiration for her next novel, but find the love of her life along the way. She takes all her (terrible) dates to the same bar around the corner from her apartment and it’s there she meets Finn—the hot, brooding, Irish (I feel like that’s the most relevant part??) bartender who doesn’t believe in love, commitment, or staying in one place. He takes note of her bad taste in men and says if she’s never been in love, then, she’s probably never have good sex either. He offers to show her a thing or two and as they begin their intimacy lessons, they can’t help but be drawn to each other. But Alessia’s looking for forever and Finn is only looking for temporary.
I’ve ALWAYS wanted to write a romance with sexy lessons!!! One of the first romance novels I ever read was THE KISS QUOTIENT by Helen Hoang and it changed my brain chemistry for forever. It’s my spiciest book yet—thank God!!! And of course, it’s set in NYC, my favorite city in the world.
I’m in Boston with my best friends for an event at Lovestruck (one of the best indie romance bookstores in the world), and I couldn’t help but reflect on my writing journey. When I was a freshman in high school, I was so nervous about admitting I wanted to write romance novels. But my best friend, who was coincidentally my first friend in high school, was supportive of me every single step of the way. Ever since then, she has been my first reader. I send her ideas, chapters, or a little lines and she’ll reply with a million !!!! It was just so surreal knowing that ten years later, here we are—travelling around for my books together.
I’m feeling so sappy about it all right now. I’ve only ever wanted to write books. It has always been the steady constant in my life. I recently did an interview with Rachel Gilman and she asked what I liked besides books…….I did not have a response.
But, I only get to write another one because of you!!! I can’t thank readers, booksellers, bookstores, and my friends/family enough for supporting me throughout this. Recently at an event, someone asked me how it felt to have my sophomore novel out, and I said I felt like I was cosplaying a life I always dreamed about. Half the time it doesn’t feel real!!!
I cannot wait for you all to meet Alessia and Finn, but for now, I hope you’re enjoying THE LAST PAGE and love Ella and Henry just as much as I do!
MWAH!
